I think if I were an astronaut, I'd be scared shitless of doing a spacewalk. Nothing like getting flechetted to death at Mach 21.  :o

So....fifty years ago, the US put half a billion killer pieces of space junk tiny metal needles into low-Earth orbit.

Had never heard of this before.

Ha wow.  That is pretty neat.

"Useless and dangerous megaprojects" was more or less DARPA's mission statement during the Cold War.

And thus was born the Internet, and through it, 4chan. What has science done.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Would it be cruel to say he looked exactly like what I would expect a #1 CoD player to look like?

That said, what dicks. They could have at least waited until someone else beat their way above him before arresting him in a country where U.S. laws shouldn't apply.

...But ...What? Seriously!? I thought this was already illegal.

The GOP's job these days is pretty much to disrupt attempts to get anything useful done while pushing increasingly bizarre bills. That said, I sincerely hope this is based solely on a theoretical possibility of unethical behavior, rather than actual cases of Soylent Yum! is aborted fetuses.

If this is happening, which I can't imagine it is, then good for him to putting an end to human fetuses in food.

Otherwise, it almost certainly isn't, in which case, what the hell, bro.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

It isn't happening. The company made an artificial tongue using kidney stem cells, which is kind of weird, but absolutely legal. Pro-life activists blew it out of context, and now we have someone from the church who wants to make a bill against stem cells in our food. Makes sense to me.

It's funny, because I'm sure that eating human fetuses counts as cannibalism. It should already be illegal.
