Well, if the cave in is truly instant, that means infinite velocity. Which means infinite energy. Which means infinite heat. Which means your universe a splode.

If it was truly instant I'd get a higher FPS. No, it's just a really small amount of time, cause and effect at different locations in one planck-instant is impossible, afaik. We could calculate the amount of energy needed to create a cloud of boiling magma, to find the time that was spent compressing the matter.

Its not a question of why, its a question of why not have it faster? We already had enough of slow internet in the dialup era, the people who still have it (or close to it) can tell you most certainly that it sucks.

I can get about a gig of data downloaded in about 15-20 minutes.
The only reason I come here is because this would take forever at home.
Here, my stuff gets done in a few minutes.

Well, either someone installed it or fellow's got a flash drive with it on it, or something along those lines. It's... kinda' a thing you do, if you're using computers-not-your-own with regularity. Have a little suite of useful software on something portable.
