Today I have learned something enlightening.
Australian Marmite is not the same as actual Marmite. What they buy as Marmite is actually a New Zealand product by the same name, but nontheless different to the British product.

This could explain so many things.

No, no, OW is right. Just left out that NZ/aussie marmite is also shit. Marmite is so shit my spellchecker doesn't recognize its existence as a word.
