It could also be because some people were bored and simultaneously decided to make every trope sound more 'snappy'.

Ah, yeah, isn't the management a bunch of jackasses or something?

Still makes interesting reading if you find one of the not-incredibly-dumb articles, though. Nowadays I usually just use the "awesome music" pages to get recommendations of what video game music to put on playlists, then close it before I follow a link or something and lose four or five hours of my life I could've spent doing something comparably productive but easier to stop doing.

I'm guessing he's trying to cram two separate recent events into one post. The whole "France shootings" (probably both this recent one and the big one last year) and the recent stuff in Germany got added as a subnote (the whole 1000 syrian refugees groping and raping girls in Cologne at the turn of 2016).
