So, I have a copy of an UK introduction to law book, or one that is written from the point of perspective of England.  Will reading said filthy Eurotrash instead of one written about American law sully my pursuit of casual learnifying?  has anyone here taken sufficient law courses (cough) and wish to advise me?

I suppose you might get a richer history of old laws and such?

What exactly about English law is it supposed to be about or analyzing? Just wondering out of curiosity.

Its just an intro to law book, but they are quite keen on laying out the English Law structure and process, while as an American I'm more concerned with our own law system.  I get the process can be similar at times, and I'm not against the experience, but its kind of like the Nutrition book I put away a few months ago; I wanted to know if I needed to study the exact proteins, carb-chains, and all that or could just focus on the big picture items.

Given that American Law is based off of the English Law system, it could be useful to know the history of it, if it does go into the history.
