(fuck onions non-sexually)
Leave.
If it were really an option I'd be tempted, but you onion liking blighters put the stuff in goddamn everything and escape is frustratingly difficult.

Like a quarter of the reason I've learned to cook to the extent I have is so I can eat stuff that doesn't have the things in them. Goddamn onions.

Onions are edible, but I avoid them if it is possible to do so without too much effort.

IMHO, great food is often in what you leave out rather than what you put in. People make something that would taste awesome, then they add one (sometimes two) too many ingredients.

A small amount of onions or onion powder in a soup or something? Sure. But far too many people have no idea what "small" means.

I've actually just about reached the point I can stand a mild amount of onion powder, oddly enough. Least its presence doesn't automatically make something borderline or outright vile. Actual onions to any extent are still the taste destroying devil, though.

Raw onions are the worst. Cooking them goes a long way to making them edible, though.

I like diced onions.

I also really like spring onions.

Red onions are salad onions. They don't count. They're like the apple of potatoes.

All onions are delicious when cooked in any way at all, or not at all.

Sometimes, I just caramelise them and have them as a freestanding part of a meal. Brilliant.

You people, with your restraint and balanced tastes... you disgust me.

Onions were the staple food for ancient Egyptians IIRC, they used them with their dinner like we use potatoes / rice / bread. OFcourse, they had grains and bread too.

Onion is life.

I have never heard of cilantro.

Cilantro is coriander/koriander. Might have some special Börk Börk name in Swedish though, so who knows? But if even Norway stocks it (admittedly you can only buy it in the grocery store as a potted plant), Sweden should definitely have it.

I like onions well enough, but sometimes raw onions can overpower other aspects of a dish. Sometimes that's the point though. Mostly I just don't like cutting the things... I once diced a couple onions that left me with 20% of my vision for half an hour because of trying to squint through the pain and tears. And I'd chilled the damn things... Ungrateful!

Garlic, on the other hand... Garlic is life.

I googled it and it seems cilantro is just fresh coriander. In which case the Swedish name for it would just be "fresh corisnder". Except it's koriander with a k because we're a little but cooler than you guys :P

A really cool country would call it 'köriander'.
