Steam has yeeted off the last bits of content standards, and is now selling literal desktop strippers.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Out of morbid curiosity, I went on Pirate Bay to search for it. It's available, and for some reason, there are 14 seeders. Why are there this many people seeding desktop strippers? I'm tempted to download it and run it on a VM, for "research", but I'm not sure if it'd be worth the disk space.

Is Second Life still a game?
What do you mean by the question? I’m unaware of a game suddenly stop being a game. If a game was cancelled, it was still a game. Though I don’t think it was cancelled. I’ve never played Second Life, only heard of it

It still exists if that's what you mean. And it likely has more concurrent users now than when it was really hyped. I found a 2007 article claiming 20,000 concurrent users, while the current metrics are around 50,000. So it's still going along, though clearly failed in their ambitions when you compare it to things like WarCraft.

Star Trek's version of tolerance is simple, you are a valid alien culture worthy of equality and protection so long as you are already Human and American enough. Sometimes they talk about how interesting and unique a differing culture is before showing them how much better it is to subsume into their own.

That episode about a planet/moon pair inhabited by separate but related civilizations where one's economy was fueled by drug sales to the other was a trip. It turned into a hamfisted almost-DARE thing so I suppose the resurgence of that memory is WTF-worthy.

Except for "Home Soil" from TNG, yeah. And that one didn't do well ratings-wise.

Don't forget the time Tripp on Enterprise convinced a pregnant woman to commit suicide. They looked sad into the camera for like an episode over that one.

Slammed the back door of my car shut, and the opposite door popped open. Tried fixing it for a while, but I eventually had to run back into work for some help, since it wouldn't stay shut.

With the help of some coworkers, it's fixed with some redneck engineering right now; just some rope and some hope.
