I have been loosing weight.

But, in my own wtf--  I made some creamed ditch weeds today.  (All that growing up poor and living on the things as a child seems to be greatly offsetting my need to go to the store lately.)  Added some pasta, some rolled oats, and some black beans.

Considering it is made out of hen bit, dandelion leaves, and white clover with a bit of garlic and black pepper, it actually is not that bad.

Surprisingly edible.

can you post the recipe? It sounds good, however at my house there is a lawn so the hen bits and white clover may be more difficult to acquire. Dandelions are still here, though

Dandelion is very bitter. They contain substances called sesquiterpenes that are a part of the milky sap inside them, which are extremely bitter.

I would suggest going with purple deadnettle, henbits, and white clovers, and cut back hard on the dandelion. I just happened to cook what was available. Those three are basically not bitter at all, and the first two cook down into something that tastes a fair bit like spinach. (the henbit is rather coarse though, and needs very aggressive boiling to break down the cell walls enough for them to have an acceptable mouth-feel.)

An alternative would be to cook the dandelions in several changes of water, to cook the bitter compounds out.

But-- basically--

Gather your fresh picked greens, wash, and verify plant identities.
Place into a large stock pot. (Need approx 4-6 cups of fresh, washed greens)
Add water to just beneath covering.
Add salt, garlic and black pepper to taste.
Cook for a protracted amount of time, (Henbit is hard to get cooked enough to have an enjoyable mouthfeel.) with the lid on the pot.
Once the greens have reached appropriate cooked-ness, add pasta noodles.
Continue with pot lid on, until pasta is al-dente.
Add about half a cup of rolled oats. (Would actually suggest barley pearls, but I did not have those.)
Mix together about 2 cups of cold milk and 4 tablespoons of flour, and mix completely. Add it to the stockpot.
Cook until thickened.
Add 1 can of black beans.
Add about 1/3 cup olive oil, and stir vigorously.

It looks rather unpleasant, but tastes OK. (again, I would go easy on the dandelion, and go with the deadnettles instead if you have them available.)

I am fairly convinced that management judges "Productivity", not by how much work is actually accomplished, but instead by how brow-beaten, soulless, and unhappy their employees are.
if this is indeed the case, it is incorrect. Productivity should be measured by how much work is done. Thst;s kinda what productivity means

The problem is that a huge number of positions are ones where actual productivity is difficult or impossible to measure. Cashier's work, for example, can be measured only by how long the line at the register is and the number of transactions, but there's no way to determine the cause of long lines is a bad cashier or a Karen gumming things up. Likewise, if the transaction volume is low, you can't readily determine if that's caused by the cashier screwing things up in some way or if it is just sluggish business.

So management focuses on appearances and other intangibles - this, for example, is why most US cashiers are not provided with chairs. Execs decided that sitting looks lazy, and a sitting employee is an unproductive one. You also see it a lot when some hotshot with a shiny new MBA gets hired as a low-level manager and decides to throw his weight around and make a name for himself.

This gets really bad when Mr. MBA goes into certain professions. My dad spent years in industrial maintenance, and had one job where the rookie manager got mad that the maintenance people were sitting around drinking coffee in the office. So he ordered them to go push brooms around. Thing is, the only reason to have maintenance people while production is in progress to have somebody available to fix a machine immediately when something breaks - a down machine not only reduces your output and costs money to fix, but you're paying all the machine operators (which can be dozens or even hundreds) that rely on that machine or any machine linked to it will be standing around collecting a paycheck until it is fixed. Sure enough, a machine broke while maintenance was pushing brooms, and it took 45 minutes to get started on the machine repair - mostly legitimate, with some malicious compliance mixed in- which caused the head honcho to come in demanding to know what was going on. I'm told (from other people who worked at that plant, even) that the resulting tirade against Mr. MBA was a thing of legend.

With the amount you're cooking them, you could possibly achieve a similar goal by freezing them and unfreezing them. The reason you normally want to avoid freezing fruit or vegetables is that ice crystals form and break down the cell walls, resulting in mushy or limp food.

So while searching AO3, I discovered a gem of an Intel vs AMD rant. It's almost beautiful how angry this person is over some guy saying their AMD FX-series processor is better than an Intel. Who is this person, and why'd they go on Archive of Our Own (a fanfiction website) of all places to rant?

You mean having spare capacity can save you way more money/grief/etc. when you suddenly need it than you'd save by not having that spare capacity?

Amazing!

/sarcasm /irony

(It is indeed a WTF that they don't appear to teach this in MBA schools... seems pretty basic stuff.)

I mean, they teach that in entry level business admin courses (and I say that with certainty having been in one in the last five years or so), though it doesn't get much emphasis and squeezing that capacity as low as possible in order to maximize efficiency is hammered pretty hard. So they probably do, or at absolute least have being taught that as a basic requirement to get into one. It just isn't something that's tried too hard to make stick.

The pants-shitting abusive transphobe who occasionally craps out gross RPG supplements, Zak S, is getting litigious. If you play RPGs and haven't heard of the guy, I envy you.

I assume it’s in relation to the claims an ex-girlfriend is making, according to his Wikipedia page.

Dude’s a hardcore porn actor too.

But yeah, I know nothing of the guy, and he’s losing work ‘cause of the claims.
