Several treatments do this, most dramatically the chemical peel (which would not be for home use, I'm pretty sure). It can ruin your skin's sun resistance, as far as I know, and be terribly itchy (but of course you can't scratch it) but it reduces a lot of acne scarring so if you have it badly enough it really can be worth it.

But, you know, nobody wants to hear "we're gonna burn your face off with acid so it grows back smooth" so different names had to be devised.

I watched an upscaled 4K 60FPS version of Bad Apple, and all my brain was thinking was "WTF is this shit?!". I think it's soap opera effect; I'm so used to seeing Bad Apple at 30 FPS or lower that my brain just gets utterly repulsed by the sheer smoothness of the whole thing. It's too smooth; I don't like it.

I think there's also this bobblehead effect, where there's just too much continuous and unpredictable motion which just murders my ability to watch the video at all. There is a reason why I strongly prefer the option to turn off animations on all my devices. It's basically "I don't fucking care; just appear as soon as you're ready, I don't want this fucking foreplay to the thing I want."

First is coming here to post a Bad Apple related WTF and seeing a new page with the only post also being Bad Apple related.

Second is this wonderful video that my brother sent me this morning and that proves two things:
1.) With enough time Touhou will pervade everything.
2.) Minecraft players have way too much free time.

The demoscene is a treasure trove of Bad Apple renditions. You have the IBM PC version, the Atari 800-series version, the ZX Spectrum version... hell, there's even an Atari 2600 version. You could recite the "pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp" line from Forrest Gump, but with Bad Apple. That's how many versions there are. It's hard to overstate to how many things this thing's been ported to. Even obscure Soviet computers that the entire English-speaking Internet knows diddly-squat about get ports of Bad Apple.

Like, as long as there's two colors on a visual medium to work with, you've got yourself a viable Bad Apple version on your hands. Hmm... maybe I could try messing with a raw version of the video, and see what happens. I can only promise one thing: wasted disk space.

Yeah... handled a good bit of sesame street kids books recently, and it's, like. The absolute weirdest thing about them I noticed is that ernie gets naked... pretty often. Not super regularly, but enough to comment on. Out of at least a couple dozen different books, ernie ended up unclothed in a bathtub three or four times and the totality of other characters that stripped down anywhere (discounting the ones thst just don't wear clothes, anyway) was a flat 0.

It's an odd thing to notice and a odder thing to be there to notice. Been a long time since I watched any of sesame street proper, but is ernie bath time like a thing with it, or..?
