Dwarven Civilization ... of goblins
« on: August 22, 2014, 07:00:00 pm »

So, I embarked from a civilization and when the liaison arrived, I noticed he was a goblin.  As were the traders.

Looking at my civilization screen, it appears that ALL the encountered members of my civilization are goblins.

Is this a thing now?  Do the dwarves occasionally conquer goblin civilizations and then amalgamate them to a point where entire arms of dwarven civilization are made of goblins?

Sometimes there are other races in a community.  I couldn't tell you why, just that it happens.  I've been generating worlds and going through the history using Legends Viewer, and come across it.

What happens is this:

Dorfs take over a goblin civ.

Goblins live longer than dorfs.

Goblins eventually outlive all dorfs.

My raws are modded so that goblins die around the age of 80.  So it's unlikely this is the case unless there is hard-coding that disables the maxage token on goblins.  Though, it would be interesting to know if goblins were hardcoded to always be immortal.

Perhaps it's just my local dwarves took over a much larger cache of goblins and then got bred out of the area.

Just never seen such a long and comprehensive list of goblins in a dwarven civilization.

I had a somewhat similar situation, though not quite as severe.

Outpost liaison and 9 out of 10 civ nobles were goblins.

And also the first goblin attack wave were all elfs.

Which means I have a civ of gobdwarfs and another of demon-oppressed elfblins.
