I'm pretty sure the guy is already dead to begin with and someone is just making pain sounds off camera.

Also what's up with his legs falling off if you push him against the ground slightly? I just sort of jerked him downward and his whole body came apart.

This game would be more fun if there was some point to it.

Well another reason I think he's already dead is that he doesn't bleed out from wounds.  So maybe if he's not already dead, that's how they survive the hopping out of bed.
