I'm not really sure, to be honest.
There was and still is a paid version, but you can find the latest for free just on their forums.

Yeah, but that one there is Build 23, I believe.
The latest is Build 24, which was the one for the Humble Indie Bundle.
Best solution: spend a little bit of money to buy the game, then grab the DDL for B24.

Had one of my men mind controlled by an alien, who then turned on two of his buddies and opened fire.  Meanwhile, a second guy had also been mind controlled, and he was wearing heavy armor.  Turns out it's hard to stun someone wearing heavy armor.  Plus my tank was destroyed via friendly fire, due to my guys not understanding which end of the gun to hold.
