Well, the armor was not destroyed, so it may have been indestructible. Just you were not.

My sanity was 0 after respawning and was idling through the night when I suddenly died from suicide.

"Welp, I died. May as well kill myself now..."

My own death:

Accidentally clicked the "Surrender" option, losing literally everything.

Thankfully, I had "Realistic Saving" off.

I died to boulder traps at least 4 in one gaming session. It's felt like a running gag.

Rolling gag, really.

Same game, expert mode Skeletron. He stunlocked me against the dungeon with his headspinning attack. Worm scarf and shield of cthulhu did jack to help.

Large abomination? No problem! I'll just wield my dire flail of holy wrath, blessed by the Shining One to cause great damage to the undead.

You can't wield that with a shield.

More of a metaphorical death, but dear god Prey's calibration room.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

The new dungeon system is certainly interesting, but I feel it needs some work.

On the one hand, you get to grind your units a little while hunting for silver coins. That's what I was doing, trying to get my villager units up to level 10 before promoting them for as many extra stats as possible.

On the other hand, the fact that dungeon encounters are random and take place in rather small tactical maps means that an unlucky player can wind up in a no-win situation.

That's what happened to me. While exploring the Deliverance's hideout, I ran into what could only be described as a tier 3 Terror. It had absolutely insane stats, powerful enough that only one or two of my dudes could deal more than scratch damage, and was strong enough to one-round many of my more fragile units. I tried to keep my distance long enough to retreat, but it moved faster than anyone not mounted could manage.

If it was all alone I might have been able to deal with it, but accompanied by four tier 2 Terrors I had no chance at all.

I tried to order a soldier to throw a stun grenade into the last room of a UFO. Instead, it landed in the middle of my team, knocking everyone out but one guy. Said guy was promptly killed by the alien I had tried to stun.

Made my way up to Packanack Lodge as AJ, the stealth character.  Vanessa and Kenny are in there tearing the place apart, and as I'm checking the top floor Jason comes in.  I hide in a closet in one room while he stuffs Vanessa into the fireplace on the ground floor.

Just as I step out of the closet thinking he's leaving Kenny bursts into my room.  While I'm telling him to go away Jason joins the party too.  Kenny tries to run past him and is obviously fucked, but Jason saw me too, so I head through the side door into another room.  While Jason's slamming a door on Kenny's head I open the door out of my new room and jump into another closet.

Sure enough Jason comes in to find me and when he sees the open door he runs right through, never suspecting I was right there in the closet.  This time I spend a couple minutes waiting until I hear him teleport across the map.  I head out and find that Kenny had found the fuse for the phone box and already plugged it in.

I finish fixing the phone, accidentally making noise once, and then I haul ass upstairs and call the cops.  Jason doesn't show.

As I go back downstairs I keep hearing weird noises out the front of the house.  There's no Jason music so I ignore it, head out the back.  Another Vanessa is there poking around on the patio, and as I go out she goes in through the same window.

Not ten fucking seconds later Vanessa's dead.  Jason was coming up on the house in stealth mode, that's what the noises were.  If I'd stayed for five more seconds I would've been fucked.

The next five or six minutes of the match I make my way slowly slowly slowly towards the exit where the cops are going to spawn, using the other players' dots on the minimap to guess which side they'll spawn on.  While I'm hiding Jason suddenly appears right on top of me, I manage to shoot him with a shotgun and bolt.

I'm not even ten feet away when I run out of stamina, trip, and Jason chops me up.  The other three remaining counselors escaped.

Moral of the story, don't get spotted as AJ.

Made a hell of a bad choice with my guerrilla forces. Instead of hiding, striking the weakest I could find, and using my communist allies in the cities and villages to gain information on my enemies, I attempted to outslug my reactionary opponents with opportunistic raids on their forces, and drawing them into a massive battle in my capitol, which I had spent ages preparing trenches and garrisons.

This didn't exactly go to plan when 14000 units descended on my 8000 and turned it into 6000. I beat them back and gloated silently, thinking that I must have dealt a massive blow, but then came 20000, which turned my 6000 into 3000. Their morale broke and they were repelled, but by then I had been completely surrounded, and there was no way out of the city. I was planning to escape to the north by the armoured trains I had seized, drum up support for socialist revolution, and then conscript the able bodied villagers. The entire Finnish Whites descended on me with a grand total of 40000 units, and charged my barricades. With nowhere to retreat, no machineguns, ammunition running low, and my cannons destroyed in the last siege, I was annihilated.
