I somehow shot myself with my own torpedo. I'm still not entirely sure how that happened.

Mount and Blade War band

Yeah, made a new character, no name, no shield, just a sword and some throwing knives, and an average horse.  Still need to build up his skill there.  Decided to fight some looters.  Lost, brought a few with me.  Tried fighting them again, lost, took a few with me.  For the umpteenth time, I fought like the last two guys, they beat me.  Engaged them AGAIN, this time I beat them.  I got my guy's shirt back some food, and some money.

So yeah, got them in the end.

Lost my level 20 archer with pretty good stuff to a Leviathan that beam-spammed me before I was able to teleport away to the Nexus.

Drinking from a well when suddenly it spawns several monsters, one of which being a greater mummy.
The mummy kills me. I go back for my stuff and I thought the mummy was dead, so I continued drinking from the well and, while blinded from ink, the well summons more monsters. The nether hound(I think) it summoned killed both of my companions and several innocent bystanders before killing me. I go back once again to see the mummy and the hound working together and they killed me again. I got lucky the next time I went back and managed to kill both of them and get my stuff back.

My CK2 game, I'm a French count with two provinces, and capable of mustering 3000 men.  Duke of Aquitane attacks, draws in an 11,000 man army ( probably even more ).  My allies ( including my guy's son ) declined to help, and I surrendered Perigord after my army was crushed.  I had only the ownership of a city ( many years earlier, I had accidentally given the County aka the castle to a vassal, and I was left only with the barony ) and with my only holding being a city, I lost the game.

Lesson here?   There's always a bigger fish.

Believe me, I know how you feel, I only managed to get ahold of the very last copy in GameStop very recently after searching Forever for it.  It's been worth the wait though.  :)

Shot to death by Retros upon leaving the docking bay.

Got into a dogfight with a single pirate Talon near a jump point, during which this single Talon killed several bounty hunter Centurions singlehandedly, and managed to take a good chunk out of me before I killed him and then jumped.

Shot to death by 3-5 more pirate fighters upon exiting the jump.

Got annihilated by my roommate in Civ 5.  I was trying a non-warlike, 3 city strategy.  It was working fairly well, but I couldn't keep up with his massive army.  His first attack failed(barely) and he had to retreat, but then he came back with a line of artillery protected by a line of riflemen that I just couldn't put a dent in.  I ended up resigning.  :)

Was impaled by a tiki trap while stunned from fall damage.
Then I bombed myself by accident.
Then I whipped a UFO and it exploded in my face.
