By the way, full game available for free here: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/237/downloads/Titans.of.Steel:.Warring.Suns

Surprisingly, this is legit.

Yea, the maintainer of the game even popped up in that thread.

Whoops, I missed that. :D

Well, redundancy is good, for anyone seeing this and wanting to play (like me).

Lol, Catherine was just really, really unlucky. I've never seen anyone get nearly killed with so much armor left in the head. And never imagined anyone would get killed with a direct machine gun hit, which is like one of the weakest weapons in the game :P I'll probably clone her later, it's only a bit more expensive and pay from the latter missions should cover it.

Anyway, which campaign should I run? There's..
Deep Core - The easy campaign, introduced as sort of a tutorial campaign. Good way to gain them a bit of extra money, and I've only played the first mission, so it's more of a blind game.

Savannah - The default starting campaign originally when the game was first sold. It can be just as brutal as the arena battles (if not more so). The pace will probably slow down as the jocks' XP might not be up to par with the campaign expectations, not to mention that the extra damage and deaths will set back the team a little.

Nonce ended up starting with 6 Damage Control. I gave Bob a chance, but he did even worse, starting with 8 damage control. Nonce had about 10.3 average attributes, while Bob had about 9.4 average. Bob also started with poor skills, making him not much good for anything, but cannon fodder.

It becomes very tempting to clone Catherine instead. But it takes about 2 months to recover from cloning, too long to bring any kind of financial benefit from her skills.

So I hired Nonce for now, but keeping him as a secondary mechanic instead of a specialist. He's got really good energy weapons skills, though. Gave him a Wrathchild titan (neutron blaster and pulse laser).

Spoiler: Nonce (click to show/hide)

Just want to say that I'm learning to play the game and will be following this. So far it seems like a dream game of mine!

Also, the squad needs a name!!

Edit: Ah, missed that you threw it up for suggestions! Let's see what Dwarf Fortress has to say on the matter...

'The Silvers of Igniting'

Has potential? Or can we do better?

Also, should you need another body:

Name: Pitar Golden
Callsign: Gold
Gender: N/A
Race: Android
Weapon specialization: Energy
Manager or mechanic: Manager

BTW, I'll be a bit slow in updating this. Doing it in between job applications/interviews/girlfriend stuff/other games. So, I'll just set it to a weekend update or when I find myself with a 1-3 hour free time slot :P

Sorry, really wanted to get this running, but haven't even had an hour or so to play any games (while documenting it) for the last 2 weeks, and I doubt I'll have time any time soon. Hope someone else does a LP of it though :P
