Yes, I did. I thought the combat system was quite realistically gruesome and most everything else was pretty realistic so I took the game as a serious game, except, you know the hilarity of all the crap happening to everyone. Now I just think of everything as Monty Python humor

I got myself a decent set of Final Fantasy soundtracks to play, and change the tune according to situation. XII has the better wandering soundtracks according to biomes, IV and VI has some good fight music. Shadow of the Colossus has some epic, well, *type* colossus battle music.

I suppose Phantasy Star has some good tracks as well (PSO as well). Great for traveling the lush wilds or ancient ruins, or battling a giant centipede. Some PSO songs have respective battle songs to go with the travel music as the immediate link in the first one has.

Actually, anything with a good looping theme works for me.

But yeah, if you can line up the biomes with the XII themes for similar levels (Dalmasca Eastersand/Westersand themes for deserts for example; Eastersand's would work for starting an adventure), then it actually works well. Depending on the quest type for caverns and such IV's cave themes work well for exploring, but then switch theme to an Esper battle from XII when you run into a clown. Now you're in for some fun.

I think Chrono Cross has some good adventuring music as well.
