the .952 is intermittent. It may be due to drowsiness, if that does that.

I don't think she was a bandit. I got everyone from mead halls and military installations. She turned on us in a dark fortress later and got killed. It need not make me weep, since she was more trouble than she was worth. I guess some people have volatile personalities.

I've got a couple questions related to locating
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I can find them in Legends easily, but actually finding where they lie on the map is another question entirely.

1: Do they only exist in Goblin Civs like Spires, or can they exist in any location?
2: Do they exist within the territory of their Clown creators, or can they exist in any portion of the world?
3: Any other tips to locate them?

If I recall, they're isolated like lairs.

Best way to narrow down their location is to view the legends entries for the vault, then the region it says it's in, then any towns or megabeast lairs in that region too.

That's the issue though, my Legends doesn't state the region they are in. Unless if I'm missing something (which is possible, since i'm still trying to figure out how this thing works).

I recommend Legends Viewer so you can see where it is on the world map, which is especially necessary for Vaults not in range of anyone. The only way you'll get a map location for Vaults is by stumbling on them, by asking people about surroundings if it happens to be within range and the RNG isn't screwing you around, or by combing the whole region tile you know one to be in. And twice I've visited Vaults deep in mountain ranges but didn't get a map location for them.

It's probably tiredness. Are you sprinting?

What effects does killing the demon master of a goblin civilization have on the world?

It turns the fortress into a ruin, but only until the newly appointed master enters the throne room. The position is equivalent to law-giver, even if you could claim that fortress, the civ's master can still rule from there. The master can even rule from an isolated refugee camp, which happens when a demon survives the capture of its spire.

Only another civ would be able to remove the settlement from the civ's possession, by razing or occupying it after winning a battle.

Other than lucking into them dfhack is the best way to find a vault. If you want to know exactly where it is then you can use the sites and pops export to get the site number then check df.global.world.world_data.sites[site number -1].pos and it gives you the world map tile it is on, so 0, 0 top left, 0, 128 in in a 129x129 is top right, etc.

It was supposed to be fixed.

There are a couple of Needs that I've never been able to figure out how to sustain. I'm able to become Focused! fairly easily, but I've always been curious how to meet them.

Eat good meal, Be extravagant, Help somebody, and Think abstractly.

There's also Acquire Object, which I've yet to be able to figure out what qualifies as an "object", cause most things don't seem to do anything. As well as be with Family and Be with Friends, which I'm not even sure if a Demigod can meet those Needs...

Eat good meal seems to depend on the quality of the meal. I'm not sure if it's ONLY cooked meals, or if meat from creatures with a high value multiplier counts too.

Be extravagant involves quality/value of worn items. My Adventurecraft elf has easily managed to meet that by crafting armor from megabeasts.

Think abstractly largely entails composing and writing...or maybe just composing. Bit annoying.

Acquire object only seems to work if you're trading with NPCs.

As for help somebody, not sure yet. The only obvious possibilities that come to mind are when you explicitly offer to do stuff like rescue captives or escort townspeople from a place about to be invaded. Though now that people can request for you to deal with bandits, maybe someone should test whether that's a more readily-available way to help.

Can you give examples of foods that satisfied 'eat good meal'? I've never gotten that, but haven't acquired the need in the latest version.

Be extravagant is satisfied by wearing anything with a high enough quality, even if you just took it off a turn ago. Pretty easy to exploit. Thinking abstractly can be satisfied by reading any book, even if it's one you read or wrote yourself, and composing something, as noted.

Acquire object can be satisfied by trading for anything, as long as it has value > 0. If you trade someone a mug or cup they'll drop it whether or not it contains anything, so you can pick it right back up.
