Disarming opponents....

I've grabbed their weapon and tried to back out of combat but i always seem to release it before moving.....likewise pulling off armor.

ideas?

A good way to disarm an enemy is to grab the target weapon, then use the jump command and target behind them. It sends them flying and it gets you their weapon. (Kisat Dur: Cave In Strike)

My clothes are starting to show some wear, and being a Large creature means finding a good size fit is basically impossible. If I take off my clothes and retire at a Civ, i get new clothes right?

I don't seem to be gaining skill in some things. Skills like dodge, thrower, armor user and butcher are going up, but striker, biter, kicker and hammer user are frozen and stay that way no matter how many zombie ogres I punch or time spent biting weasels.

DF 42.05, DFHack 42.05-alpha1. Am I doing something wrong? Does this happen for anyone else?
I get barely any experience from combat related skills when fighting weak wildlife and zombies, and I don't use any hacks. I think exp for those skills might be dependent on the difficulty of the hit, and considering that small animals have low combat/defense abilities (and zombies have no defensive abilities), you won't get far fighting them. Getting into prolonged scraps with Megabeasts and other HFS however causes my combat skills to get a nice boost.

Huh. That actually explains a lot.

so that's there because announcement file still has the Travel_advisory token even though it really shouldn't.

Thank you! I'll remove [TRAVEL_ADVISORY:A_D:D_D] from the announcements.txt and ignore the FB dust that's covering me.

How does one successfully perform a Rescue Mission? The Prisoners agree to join me, but immediately turn hostile once they walk out into the hall and see the literal trail of their captor's bodies I left in my wake to save them...

It's a bug sadly.

Anyone else have weirdness with the keybinds for:

Name assignment, random/clear/filter
Figurine creation, filter/sort/anything besides done/name/delete/scrolling keys
Looking at items, view description

I had all those assigned and tried to set them but I have no clue what is up with them. or why the figurine options won't show up at all.

I don't see any new keybinds. No clue how to even begin a figurine, other than hold bones in one hand and a sharp tool in the other. Is it a new command or old? It's not under the 'x' menus, and Interact doesn't do it.

It's a bug sadly.
I would imagine it has something to do with them possibly being considered a member of the Goblin Civ after being kidnapped, and as a result getting upset by seeing you kill other people in the Civ. Kinda like how people felt about you killing Night Creatures that used to be normal people pre-.42.05

So, the transitions of Ages has to do with major world powers, right? I know Megabeasts are the most notable world powers, but do other things count as "Powers"? Things like Necromancer groups and Clown Lords?
