That's not so much terrifying as depressing. As someone with a B.A. in archaeology, it's become kind of a given that a large swath of Mesopotamian artifacts and sites are likely going to be obliterated before this is all over with.

It's nice to know I was born just in time to see the footprints left behind in the birthplace of human civilization erased from the planet. On the bright side, at least many historical artifacts are safe elsewhere abroad.

I'm planning on telling my mother I'm interested in crossdressing tomorrow. Naturally, I can't think of anything besides the thousands of ways it could go wrong despite the fact that, in all likelihood, she'll be fine with it (And if anything, happy about it; she's mentioned she wanted a daughter while pregnant with my little brother, and knowing her, I'll doubt she'll mind if I oblige to at least some extent).

One of my close friends had her appendix get really inflamed today, which is understandably a bad thing. Fortunately it didn't burst or anything, but it was still a stressful experience seeing her writhing around on a hospital bed because her painkillers had worn off.
Fortunately she's getting it taken out in a short surgery sometime today, but ... shit that had me panicking.
Also the experience only exacerbated my infatuation for her which has been affecting my thoughts more and more of late, so that sucks too - I'm transparitexting this because it's not really relevant to the emotion of the thread.

You might want to look into a few trans resources there before you get too ahead of yourself. Terminology and such, you don't want to say something by the wrong name and have a completely different meaning than what you intended. >_>
