That's actually what the guy in the pic has, just an atypical case.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

Well, shit. I'm glad I don't live in France, but...
Okay but what the fuck does the French has to do with this? It's like the ISIS wants everyone else in the world to kick their ass. I'm not one for conspiracy but how stupid and irrational these terrorists act make me feel like they're working for the United States in some false flag operation.

France has a very high population of poorly-integrated immigrants. Communities of refugees and such. I don't think this attack is directly related to ISIS, although they probably (like 99%, would bet large sums of money) are Muslim.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Paris is very Muslim and the French government is wrecking Boko Haram who pledged loyalty to ISIS
Ergo some Muslims in Paris don't like this
So they bomb Paris

Actually, France did just join the anti-ISIS coalition a couple weeks ago.

So, that makes at least some sense, but bombing the Palestinians? The heck do they have against them? I thought the Palestinians were mainly Sunni (or maybe all, I don't know), the same as ISIS

Palestinians are Sunni. Might just be indiscriminate fire, or perhaps if they shouted for Syria that they are Shia themselves?

Came over the hill on the way home and noticed smoke coming, apparently, from the hill behind my house. I thought it was all burning.

It was just a neighbor burning slash accumulated over the summer, thankfully, and they had it under control. Not what I wanted to see, though.

edit;

rotten-backed cabinet just fell off the wall and crushed all the things. O_o
