Is the server still up? What's the name?
One of the previous pages has the name/pw

Server will be up for another hour at least; then come back on tomorrow at some point

As for vehicle replacement, it looks like there is actually an option which may keep them from needing to be replaced which can be turned on if we want.

yea, its not a issue with anything but cars, and maybe boats? their just arn't enough new versions and they expire without the ability to replace them easily during certain timeperiods.

I tried starting a game at year 0. Sadly, the car and plane haven't been invented yet, and the game doesn't support horses or sailing ships.

Server is now offline.

Tomorrow's round will include::
Scarce resources and towns
early start date (1840 or 1850)
2000x500 map size
NARS and 2CC (tons of additional train types, some for really early)
passenger destination thingy mentioned earlier
player built towns and industries enabled
probably mountainous

In summary, it will be a rather long game in which the focus will (hopefully) be more about building actual infrastructure and cities rather than merely building 5000 mile tracks connecting opposite sides of the world. It will probably be slower than previous rounds, and as such we may use the same map for several days.

Map from today's round will be uploaded somewhere sometime tomorrow. And if you haven't been able to tell from this post, the server is now down for the night.

Are we using any mods next time? And if so, will I need to download them?

Yeah, by the looks of things, we will be using the
Cargodist mod, which needs to be downloaded.

the NewGRFs also need to downloaded, but they can be downloaded from within the game.

also, if it doesn't run, you may need to copy the data/ and gm/ folders from wherever you installed OTTD, to my documents/OpenTTD

It's running, but now it's saying that I have some settings enabled/disabled and says "that's a BAD IDEA"
Quote from: Error message
You have set at least one cargo class to be automatically distributed in "Advanced Settings -> Link Graph" and disabled "New orders are 'non-stop' by default" in "Advanced Settings -> Vehicles." This is a BAD idea.

So, to fix this I just set all vehicles to go non-stop? I don't see how this would effect anything...

EDIT: I enabled that setting and the message went away, so... I dunno, still seems odd to me.
