Awesomeness. Out of curiosity, though, what is the highest that someone has ever donated that you can remember?

Donated $20 last night and replied that I wanted to sponsor wild boars this morning when I work up. I sponsored wild boars because they are one of my favourite animals.

Small question:
As the new animal will be part of the 16 domestic animals update,
are these sponsored suggestions also suposed to be domestic-able animals or can they be as fancifull as our little minds can concieve?

The link in the OP has a list of animals you can choose from.  Toady has already implemented the 16 domestic animals -- sponsored animals are in addition to that.

$20 on armadillos.

Canadian dollar is doing well, so it is a good time for donating.

The blue whale is on that list, and I think if anything qualifies as a multi-tile animal, the blue-whale should.

Anyway, I got 12 bucks on Bees, for the possibility of a honey industry. Also, I wonder if Dwarven allergies will be implemented?

EDIT: Would there be a bee-keeper or apiarist skill?

Hermit crab? That was my second choice. Red panda is definitely the cutest one on the list.

I'm going to do my best -- there are things like the entire honey industry which I was considering putting in for the release but which overall might not be guaranteed with something like a bee sponsorship, but the existence and sponsorship of the bee certainly helps its prospects.  So, some of the animals imply more work than others, and I can't guarantee absolute satisfaction, but I am dedicated to getting things up to speed, and I'm all for adding new tags and things.

Oh Gosh. Do I pick animals I love, yet have no practical use (at least until Toady implements Boats and Urist McIshmael). Or do I pick animals that I love almost as much that will often become a staple part of my forts, like those delicious, delcious Giant Tortoises.

I wonder which of these animals would be the most dangerous to a dwarf.  Maybe the Black Mamba for its venom?  Or maybe a Boa Constrictor would be more effective given the smaller size of a dwarf?  Perhaps something more like a Wolverine to tear our dwarves to shreds?  Whichever is the most dangerous is the one I will be voting for.
