Will there ever be more complex wrestling techniques?
« on: December 18, 2010, 09:14:30 pm »

I had noticed if you are knocked to the ground, you are able to wrestle with your legs and feet.  So it got me to thinking, if you were able to grab hold of specific things in combinations, what if you were able to perform advanced holds that had greater effect?  Such as a triangle choke by grabbing the neck with your legs and the arm with your hand?

Sounds nifty.

I like the thought of some wrestler grabbing an enemy by the left arm, then you proceed to grab the another limb from the same enemy. Then you could perform a stretch pull which would leave them seriously mangled/decapitated.

That'd be awesome!  On a similiar note, if two enemies are near, grabbing both heads and bashing them together would be awesome as well!

Also to be able to lock the *weapon* hand of an enemy and have a move to force it into them.

So many times I've wrestled people and they had -black steel- weapons, and wished I could kill them by their own doing.

I just had the though of an adventure grabbing some poor sap by the head and weapon arm, gouging the eyes and breaking the weapon arm. Followed by a kick to the kneecap and an elbow smash to the back of the skull...

If you modded in kneecaps and elbow attacks, that'd be very possible...

A possible problem with this is that in Fortress Mode, the dorf AI would most likely probably do a lot of unnecessary moves...like right now, dorfs usually try to bend/break a Giants arm rather than gouging it's eyes out directly.

Personally, I'd like to grab an enemy's head with both hands, then snap it's neck.  Quick.  Simple.  Precise.  Badass.

Or maybe, instead of strangling the enemy to death, I'd like to just crush it's windpipe so that I can just let it go and move on to the next one.  Strangulation isn't practical when you're under attack by multiple foes.

Just now I picked up a rope in adventure, and I thought to myself: "Wouldn't it be cool if you could use the rope to choke people?"

It would be interesting if he made it so that you could use pressure points, but only if you're a really skilled wrestler.

You can use a rope to choke people.

Jef (jefmajor on youtube) strangled a cyclops with a slab of meat. He is also known for bitchslapping and then strangling to death giants with his turban. Yes, he is awesome like that.
