I didn't post much because I was in a hurry, but I liked it a lot because it resembles many games (their features) I liked, like Tropico, Startopia and, of course, Dwarf Fortress.

I'm also curious about the scale and stuff, they'll probably like it if we enlist for their tests when they announce it.
The game looks good IMO, also I like the setting and the concept.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

DF, really. But Outpost 2 also qualifies.

I'm glad you pointed this out, I would really love a game like this, especially a multiplayer game where you work together to build a colony in hostile territory. Hopefully Astronaut:MMB will fulfill that.

Astronaut: Moon Mars and Beyond. It's the game of which Moonbase Alpha was just a prototype.

Also, I hope that the devs aren't scared away by their sudden influx of B12 immigrants :D

unique angle and a underutilized concept. A new genre in the making perhaps.
It's not a new genre, it fits under other ones.

GREAT! can you link me to some other games that are city building/rpg/survival? Looking forward to exploring all the other games in this genre. Whats it called?

You might want to check this one out:

A tiny bit on the nerdy side, though.

Wow, this looks ridiculously awesome. Let's hope they make it freeware, or at least have a demo available. I won't blame them if they do charge, though, because I'd definitely buy it.

Looks cool, though reading the website I saw something about a storyline so I hope you can ignore it or at least have a non-story mode.
