Can someone tell me how I would go about modifying the raws so that carp don't die in lava?

Can I change their blood material to something magma proof?

I've done it!
I just poked around the magma crab raw and copied the part that makes it boil and melt at a higher temperature.
Is there any problem with making magma crabs butcherable?

You can test with butchering quickly in the arena. After a creature die, look at it, if it's butcherable you'd see "a: Butcher"

I already made them butcher-able. I was wondering if something bad would happen had I butchered one in-game.
(The butcher melting, for example.)

Not unless you copyed the [HOMEOTHERM: tag aswell. I think magma crabs have a high one, so butchering one will result in your butcher burning hes hands off.

Now you need to start domesticatinng these, and when you have at least hundred pour them to HFS.

Oh, and you might need to add [BIOME:SUBTERRANEAN_LAVA] if you want them to spawn in lava.  Granted, this is unnecessary if what you want is regular river carp that you can dump into lava, since those will spawn in rivers just fine.

Considering I prefer glaciers myself, that's a good idea.

They also need to have a [NOBREATHE] tag to survive in magma/lava.
