Dwarfen Generator
« on: December 24, 2010, 07:08:53 am »

Ok, here it is, a new idea, it's probably been donw before I know, but, I know this could go on the suggestions part of Bay12 but, in a update, what if you could make a GENERATOR, because, magnitite is magnetic, you can make copper into wires, coil the copper, get 2 magnitite blocks, rotate the blocks and he presto, you can make electricity/ a generator, what do you think of this stupid and crazy idea?

Was finding the link, sorry. Here it is:

http://www.bay12games.com/media/df_talk_8_transcript.html

Huh, I swore he said a more definitive no, maybe it was somewhere else. But modding it in yourself, perfectly okay (and getting much easier to see being a possibility than in older versions).

Currently though, based on that DF Talk, we need lemons before we can get ourselves any electricity, so work on getting us lemons.

I guess it is just a matter of the dwarven psyche that they refuse to admit that some magical force which cannot be seen miraculously emanating from some addle brained whirlygig of a machine would be of any use, let alone trustworthy.

Maybe this explains why there are no truly civilized gnomes around, the dwarves massacred them long ago for inventing electricity  8)

We don't. Everything that may need power could be powered by !!MAGMA!!
P.S. Well, strictly, we still need flow to be added to magma, so we can use it with water wheels.

This Is For Emphasis. Also, if you try to use magma with water wheels, you will, technically, get magma with fire.
I'll go cut more nether-caps.
