Yeah, for me it was the choice between two weeks worth of corn nuts and peanut M&Ms or a shirt, so yeah. And I figured that I might as well go for broke.



@Pickle:

Thanks for the advice; I'd noticed that about the measurements as well but cba to change it until I get to work on chapter two. But yeah, I have a tendency to lean towards overly lengthy sentences.

 One question: I was planning on waiting to submit it to ED until I had the first three or four chapters done and edited, but from the sound of things they've got a pretty big backlog. If anyone here has submitted a fic recently, can you recommend either waiting or going ahead and getting in line once I finish cleaning up chapter 1?

Yep. Fortunately I've still got a backlog of fanfics to read. On that note, I just finished Princess Molestia (yeah, I know...), and the Trollestia ending was so hilariously wrong. "Hey everyone, I just raped you all (and forced AJ and Big Mac into wincest) as an April Foals joke!"

My arguing acquaintance (we debate over random topics a lot) who lurks the dark underbelly of the internet has made a claim that the rise in popularity of My Little Pony seems to have caused a surge of zoophilia.

Anyone happen to know where I can get statistics to put up a good counterargument? Or possibly find out he's right?

If you put clopping under "zoophilia" he's probably right.

I wouldn't though; I don't consider anthropomorphic characters (and these definitely are not on-model horses) to be animals.

The way he worded it he seems to be implying that the whole clopping thing is acting as a gateway drug to the "harder" real-life stuff. His presented evidence is a few porn sites suddenly allowing bestiality, and at least one *chan suddenly springing up with a beast board.

I think I'm just going to point out that he can't prove any correlation as well as the fact that the internet itself has been getting increalingly progressive,with furries not being hated on nearly as much as an example.

Unfortunately, calling him a moron would defeat the entire purpose of our debates, which is to prove how much better we are than each other. You can't prove how much better you are than someone by calling them a moron, no matter how many people believe that.

Anyway, he did concede defeat on this particular topic, and said that next time he'd get the better of me. Hopefully this time it won't be something so pointless.

Also, I figured Tavi would look a little more filled out than that.

I would just have written "correlation =/= causation" on a blank index card word document and handed emailed it to them.
