Space Voyage. Paint Adventure. Life, but not as we know it.
« on: January 08, 2011, 02:06:25 pm »

Hello, and welcome to Space Voyage. Since you're looking at the original post, you're probably looking to
read the whole thing from the beginning. Before you decide to undertake such an epic quest I must inform
you of a few things. First and foremost, Space Voyage is very, very long. Space voyage is the largest illustrated
forum adventure on Bay 12 by a considerable margin that continues to grow. In the year I've been updating
the adventure has grown over 200 updates long with around 1400 images. So, what I'm saying is you should
pace yourself, maybe get a drink or some snacks, get up and stretch, don't stare too long at the screen it will
kill your eyes. Point the second, the art does get better (or if you read more recent updates before coming
her then I can say the original posts had much worse art). It may be difficult to believe but I didn't think
I'd still be doing this a year after I started and thus, I never put a lot of effort into decent looking panels
until about nine months in. Point three, same goes for the writing, the writing has improved very much. At
the beginning the configuration of my words often doesn't make sense and it may require the reading of the
previous posts to understand exactly why something happened. The final concession is that the entire archive need
not be read in order to make a suggestion, there is a table of contents below as well as a number of exceptionally
verbose recaps of the segments of the story that have passed. Foregoing even this, you could just read the previous
post and base your suggestion on that.

I'll be working to collect all of the fanart and image manipulations into one place eventually.

There's a Tvtropes page that's sorely if you're into that kind of thing and avery dead site that has maybe 100 images added because the CMS was bad for the kind of thing.
There have been sporadic summaries of previous segments
Halfway through the first chapter.
At the end of the first chapter.
Thanks for giving me such a consistent way to waste my time.
Keep on Suggesting.
Rexfelum made some kind of list of the segments the story has been broken into.

I haven't been getting enough drawing in my daily schedule, so I decided to start one of those MS paint adventure things to guilt trip me into drawing more.
I have copious amounts of free time so this is sure to go quickly.
Post actions in BOLD, so I know you're being assertive.

Start

It is a new Mandated-Conciousness-Period on the powerful space station Zerblex-14.
You stand in your oversized pre mandated dormitorium.

You've as of last MCP finally logged 20,000 space-hours in your ZX-14 spaceflight
simulator, enabling you to apply for sponsorship and leave the humdrum of
Post-Scarcity civilian life behind you.

But First,

What is your name?

That's right! Your name is Sectoid TQ 01. You sure envy your ancestors who lived
back when names could have meanings instead of being random sequences of symbols.

Now What?

Sorry, remembering your own name makes you a little teary some times
You were randomly assigned such a lovely name.

Your Medium Scout, a relic from your childhood that inspired you
to learn to fly in the first place

maybe one last fly for old times sake.

That was sure dumb, look at your lovely china now. The set is ruined.
I mean, you could always replace the plate for free, but it just doesn't
seem right to just use one of the several billion identical copies that
didn't come with your set of china.

Get some of those Weapon of Mass Destruction that are of course easily avaible in the post-scarcity society. Then go apply for sponsorship.

That's right, TQ 02, that guy is like a brother to you. Actually, everyone is
because there is very little variation between modern Gabronians

He lives in the dormitorium adjacent to yours, this should be a quick trip.

That's going to make it difficult to leave your dormitorium.
and by proxy, visit TQ 02.

Use psychic abilities to open the door or, failing that, use the control panel near your bed
