Go to work to do some more spawning. Wander past TQ 02's room while fantasizing about spawning.

Wipe those tears from your eyes.

Jebex, all of that thinking about gross eyelid hairs must have worked up your tear ducts

Now TQ 05 doesn't take you on any roller coaster rides through the uncanny valley
not even any tilt-o-whirls.

You've established a chat connection with TQ 05, your counterpart.
She seems happy to see you.
Now what?

"Hey TQ-05! Seen TQ-02 or 01 recently? They've been ignoring my calls for a while. Anyway, how's TQ-∞ doing?"

She says they live on a space station orbiting a nearby star 58 lightyears away.
Unless they got access to one of the FTL transmitters by gaining prime sponsorship
you probably won't be receiving many transmissions considering they left 4 years ago.
She thinks that 02 was training to be an engineer and 01 to be a pilot.
Who knows, they might be getting sponsorship now.

She finally got one of your oblique spawning jokes. She remembered the Sectoid TQ line of semi-randomized clones  stopping at fourteen billion, one hundred three million, twenty thousand, four hundred fifty seven. That infinity thing was a clever ruse on your part and jubilation is had by all.

That was the 100th image I made for space voyage. I'm switching over to photoshop so my drawings look 10% less like shit. I'm ready for some voyaging, any time now.

"Yep, anyway, anything new happening in that far away space station of yours? Nothing much happened except that TQ-07, our races current leader and literally our genetic brother was assassinated when somebody crashed a Medium Scout into him. Also what the heck is your job again?"

This culture is looking more and more like it could be really interesting... They live in post sacristy, but got artificiality limited means. They have humour and unique qualities, while having been cloned so they could have been made without those, yet the regime seems oppressive. They can send people at FTL speeds, but apparently not hard drives with messages on them...

She doesn't remember that happening. Could this be another one of your jokes?
Wait, was that what 07 was doing?
she hasn't seen him in ever

this next part surprises her too. She's not on a space station. She's outside fixing a telsa transmitter
you're not even 20 meters apart.

Hey, what's this about not knowing her job, you've known each other for years
you're not that distant friends are you.

Anyway, she's a level 34 communications technician.
She works on the various telsa transmitters and receivers
that allow the vizu screens to transmit over large distances.

What she really wants to do is be an audiocrafter
that's where the real fulfilling work is.
If anyone can have anything the least she wants is fame.

Speaking of which, she finished another one of her
Demos of Dubious Quality
these DDQs have yet to get her sponsorship but she's sure this one will.
It's just tinny enough

she provides a link
(warning loud)

what do you think of this?

If it wasn't so tinny, it would be quite enjoyable. Perhaps if she mellowed out the sound a bit? (I have no idea what that means)

Needs to be...

Less tinny.
