Wait, tear apart which?  The droids?  There was a quick check over here for psy points when faced with the last droids, but I don't think it was established whether mind powers can tear apart droids directly, or whether some other psy plan was to be executed.

But it became irrelevant, because Alpha Rauthaz knows the deactivation word for the droids.  Utilize the deactivation word.  (And be ready to move the captured sectoids quickly, in case the droids are only out for a short time.)

And I see no reason why mind powers wouldn't work differently on steel than they do flesh. Besides, if for some ridiculous reason psy power can't rip steel, we can just disassemble them piece by piece.

Two things:

We're playing Alpha Rauthaz right now, so problem solved.

The definition of "mind powers" remains unclear.  Does using a "mind bullet" create a physical projectile, or is it a fancy way of saying "make a living flesh-brain go boom"?  I'm just trying to be cautious.

I know that we're Alpha Rauthaz, and that's our problem. If we go around shouting out secret code words every will know that we're the psychotic serial killer posing as an average citizen. While we can't assume that psychic powers are very common, it's certainly a possiblity. There will be doubt, but I don't think we'd be set upon by a mob of angry sectoids. Not so if we take the course you suggested. And while we can't be certain, I'm pretty sure that psychic bullets at least work like normal bullets, otherwise it might be called something descriptive enough to convey the general idea. It's not like you'd call a hair dryer an easy bake oven, while they function somewhat similarly, it's incredibly misleading and would cause misuse of the product (not saying a psychic could get the two mixed up, but it would cause general confusion with people unfamiliar with such things).

So it seems safe to at least rip them in half and keep our cover.

Oh, I get it now.  However, these sectoids likely won't make that connection.  Over here we saw Alpha described as the "former Secret-de-facto-leader of the homestar system."  As far as we can tell, commoners don't know much of anything about the shadowy cabal of rulers; and even if they did, those folks are more "shadowy-evil" than "crazy-psycho-argh-kill."  Further, even Alpha has a hard time remembering the existence of the word, so the commoners surely would have no clue what is going on (just as TQ-01 and TQ-02 had no clue).

Yes, yes, I'm just being careful.  I mean, I don't have to explain that there are gaming systems where "mental powers" have purely "mental" effects (and not physical), right?  Such games will even use names for physical phenomena (like "bullets") to describe mental things, because there are only so many cool words available.  Thus, there's no guarantee that a given game will allow psychics to perform telekinesis.

And yes, I can even provide a counterexample to my own concern: Alpha Rauthaz used psy points to physically teleport.

I'm just sayin' I'd be more comfortable defeating the droids using known abilities before trusting in a character sheet we can't see.

Also aren't we playing the someone who going to off 2 character slots two which where there from the beginning? Two characters who may very well be vital for TQ-666 ascension to god hold.
wait this is Bay 12 home of Curses and Roguelikes.
Alpha do that psi sap you smugly told us about and channel all that for scanning where your head band is then use the remaining Psi you sap from to teleport to them. the psi levels should be close to enough to what you had before the drain to snipe/shoot/cap both simpletons rumps and there Robot friend too.

Also take off the silly armor for it's clearly not boosting anything.

I wonder if she gets to do it I mean if Robocorn really allows alpha to get enough psi, then poof cave both those three characters heads in and have to deal with salt mountains with a mutant culler, a mutant, and Magneto and the brotherhood.

But no seriously, the sci-fi is pretty damn soft, If I start giving out consistent rules peoplea re going to start outsmarting me instead of outwitting me, which is the point of the exercise.

Well looks like a good act of teleporting would be in favor cover blown woop woop woop woop
If not then alpha going to be on the bad side of a gang up. Total on knees taking fists and feets and elbows square to the face. Though with the mutant rebels alpha could hitch a ride on that group until she regains power. also could we see what the other two sectoids TQ-02 and TQ-01 doing while alpha tries not to eat sectoid fists for dinner?
