I'm sorry about the delays, I have some stuff piling up that I need to get sorted out, I'll probably update tonight or something.

A vast city?

Yeah, the original flash had a few dead ends, unless it flat out didn't function for you which would be weird.
Either way, the flash ended with TQ-666 and his friend looking down to the shadow of the salt mountain ad seeing a vast city.
Spoiler: This (click to show/hide)

Whooo!

Indeeeeeed!  That was awesome.  Now, there are two important commands to give:

Robocorn: Loop the funk.  Loop that funk this instant.  Seriously, you make an animation where someone gets down and funky, and never even loop it once?

It was going to loop already but I found I couldn't come up with an elegant way to transition,
either way it was ridiculously easy to loop so here it is.

so during TQ-666 slumber TQ-42 was met with this wing creature to spread news of TQ-666 return.
lead to a mass spawn of muties and TQ-666 is the unheard one?
I will neither confirm nor deny this.

Excellent.  Pity how I was talking about the original Flash.  Now make the one in your original Flash loop at least three times before it hits the transition, darn it!

(Ah, demanding audience members.)

You address your guide
How did this all come to be?
What happened out here?

"To be honest it's kind of a long and technical story,
I'll try to simplify as best I can because, you know, 230 million years.
Usually when I'm doing this whole quest for Shabalash thing with
one of you meta users, a bunch of these entities called planescions form
from the current emotional landscape."

" They generally show limited sapience
and just wander around but lend stability to the Surrealm in the areas
they inhabit. They spend most of their time following the meta user around
as corporeal manifestations of their will. So the more you use your meta powers,
the more there are and the less influence you have without them."

"When there are enough of them around they tend to start drawing alien
dreamers into the Surrealm to give themselves context and take on aspects of the
dreamers. Usually the meta-user still has a lot of control because the planescions all acknowledge
its influence and the paradigm shifts don't occur until later to tamper with the flow of creation."

"Usually"

"That's where your issues come in."

"In your salt generating spree you inadvertently generated
several billion Ebonlings in the observable part of the Surrealm,
All of their perspectives mute your influence to the point where
you'd be unlikely to affect further than arms... further than a full pace...
futher than spitting distance. At least wherever there are large groups
of Ebonlings not in your favor."

"That would be fine in itself, you could just make them all bend to your will,
but over the aeons they've gotten a lot of alien context that defies you.
Each Ebonling is practically a fully actualized being and they live in a diffuse
communal society around the Surrealm."

"But even that's not the problem."

"The problem is that they don't think you exist TQ-666"

"Very few of them still acknowledge your existence and you've already met all 19 of them.
Most of them are materialistic, a few incorrectly associate me with the formation of the Surrealm.
It's hard to see how this could become more awkward of an entrance on your part."

Couldn't you meet them?
Show yourself and gain their will?
Show them that you're real?

"I don't know how well that will work, I wouldn't want
to stifle your imagination though. To regain your influence you'll either have
to win them over or flee beyond the zone where the planescions dwell"

Try diplomacy
They'll recognize you, you're sure.
You'll visit them now.

Oh no, this is bad.
Falling painfully downhill.
Salt is everywhere.

Hitting more debris
You hear noises around you.
You see some strange lights.

You fall on a box
It splinters into pieces.
You're barely conscious.

If I'm going to jump the shark I might as well do it by following up a few days of not posting with enourmous text walls. I'll try not to make it a habit. i don't know how many updates I'll be able to make this weekend but I'll try to get in some on Friday morning if I can.

They'll convert or die. Rise up enough to get a good view and destroy anything that looks like a religious building. Your presence alone should get enough belief to extend your range.

We're nigh omnipotent and many times larger than them. Even if they have atomic weapons, we'd be able to stop them.
