Rebuild - Zombie Management/Strategy Survival Game
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:10:15 am »

Hey guys, I'd like to share a game with you.  It's a game where you have to build up a small colony of survivors in a zombie'd world.  Good stuff, try it out!

Can we just make peace with the zombies.  :)

Flailing people to death with empty socks, though, that takes a lot of effort. Less so if the sock's made out of something interesting, but generally quite difficult.

Played it. Beat it. Forgot it.

It's fun while it lasts.

Really fun. Dunno about the replay value, but I mean, cmon it's a flash game. And a really well done one at that.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Great concept, someone should elaborate on it sometime. And yah, beat it my first time through but it's interesting anyway.

City hall, closed the portal, found the cure and secured all tiles.

Yeah, those four. I ended up drafting a constitution then went on to steamroll through the rest of the tiles and secure everything.

Edit: Oh and for replayability, I completely forgot that there are 2 city sizes and like 5 difficulty levels. Much more replayable than I initially thought.

Beat Normal, all 4 endings.  Trying Nightmare...  its killing me.

EDIT: Nightmare, had a good town going, I should have expanded to the other 2 police stations when I had the chance.  Eventually overrun.
Food is a great limiter, keeping my population down in the early days and sticking there if I can't expand.  I guess Harder will be less brutal for me...

I would have found all four endings if the evil graveyard wasn't the last tile to be conquered... Anyway, this game is pretty cool.

DF Players never truly leave.  They just abandon the fortress for a few years and then reclaim.
