I could have played FB fortress, had the game allowed me to embark. I think everyone had teal feathers and some sort of gastropod heritage.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

It was this that made me realize that duplicating raws is roughly equivalent to feeding your computer LSD.

You could have berries on the rocks and the dwarves would say it was "berry gneiss."
You should die horribly for this. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Noob question - how exactly does one do this? I've heard of "duplicating the raws" before, but I'm completely in the dark about how to actually do that...

Keep in mind that the dwarves are essentially alcoholic toddlers, and act accordingly.

Copy a raw, then post it in the same folder. Generate a world, hilarity ensues. I tryed duplicating all the raws, the game crashed just trying to look at it.

I decided to see what happens when you duplicate raws myself.  I kept it simple and only duplicated a smaller one, and the results were... interesting.  Playable Goblins (other civs being Kobolds, Trolls, and Gremlins) who had pet vultures, ate olm men and women as fish, and could somehow make silk out of frozen cave fish ichor.  Pretty tame overall, from the sound of it.
