I have class work I need to do today but I'll try and get my rendition of Ica Oilypride posted tonight or tomorrow if not.

I'm fine with the three day rule as mentioned. Maybe we could give folks an extra day if they know they will not make the deadline and let us know in advance?

To be fair, GIMP is pretty stable and it's only crashed on me a couple of times, and even then I've only lost about an hour. Six hours is really cruel though.

I usually can't stay focused on a picture for longer then half an hour but I decided to take this one seriously...either my computer or Gimp couldn't handle the high resolution...

Guess I'll have to act as a judge on this one

I've been using GIMP regularly for the last two or three years, and I don't think I have ever had it crash on me.  I did lose eight hours of work on some graphics for a web page a couple weeks ago, but that was due to a loose SATA cable.  Can't save when writing to the drive gets corrupted.

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me in photoshop a few days ago.
