Hooray, I won! Wasn't expecting that; glad my melancholy walrus made it =P

A beast!

Nothing too random-crazy, but it's got a good theme going. And also I like giant bugs. Begin!

Clear, as in, you can see the internal organs. Not too surprising, many real life cave adapted animal species become albanoid, and or transparent.

Take for instance, this texas cave shrimp.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A giant transparent wasp would be a bit like the enormous transparent spider from that terrible 80s fantasy movie Krull.
(I don't suggest actually watching the movie, mind. Its really bad.)

At least, that's how I would imagine a transparent exoskeleton.

*edit
Somehow this post got really jacked up, so I fixed it.

LOL. With a whole week for an entry, an I going to try and pixel up something really good this time, with a real backdrop and everything.  (Just wishes paint had a 4 pixel blurring tool.)

It's amazng how few programs are out there specializing in pixel art friendly tools. Photoshop's blur and smudge are too aggressive, and paint.net lacks a precision blur tool at all! (Sigh)

MSpaint with manual color picking will just have to do. I just wish it wasn't such a damned pain!

Try Asesprite. Its an open source allegro program specifically made for making sprites. Its what i used when making my video game for school.

I can already tell this is going to be a very large image.  I have most of Mr Waspyhead's Head pixeled in, (damned compound eyes!), and it is already over 200x200 pixels.  Just the head.  This is gonna be a huge pixel art.  Glad I have all week. This conclude's today's time I can afford to spend on it though.

I might post a WIP later though.sadly, the lack of transparency effects makes the "transparent exoskeleton" thing pretty much impossible with MSPaint.  I might have to build individual layer BMPs, load those into photoshop, and then composite that way.

Do the photoshop steps at home after work.

OK, here's the WIP.

I need to DL the description page....
