The organism is below a wall of dead cells, and a closing rift, in a fluid, it doesnt see any urgent movement, but does some floating sugars and cells.

The cells are dead, to eat more things the organism needs to get bigger, upgrading flagellum would decrease movement cost in fluid (ie off surfaces)

Ascend and eat stuff in alternation. So EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT UNTILL YOU CAN'T GO HIGHER. :P

Yeah, upgrade flagellum so we can learn to swim. Then maybe grow in size. You know, splitting into more cells and stuff.

Upgrading cell size would cost 400eu, while dividing cells would cost 100eu for each division adding one cell, upgrading flagellum to decrease each "swim" cost to 2 would be 100eu.
