I just had a peasant go into a fey mood and grab a craftsdwarf's workshop. He dragged in a bunch of bone and then started on his construction, which turned out to be "a  greaves" (two spaces). Seems a bit odd.

Bone artifacts seem very iffy right now.  Somebody had 6 fox bones turn into a plant fiber sword...

Yeah, "this is a platinum greaves" don't sound right. Make 'em left and right greaves, or pairs of greaves.
