I often read Kingdom Come was a good game, but i had no idea it was that good : believable characters and story (as it follows some historical event and characters too) , atmosphere that is really spot on, dialogues well wrote without too much of the "they speak like current people" feel to them, interesting cast too.
Performance on my old system was rather bad when i started, but lowering settings enough reached a point it went smooth, sure it's less visually stunning (but still is as the engine is impressive) but i'm used to much worse so it does not detract from the visual immersion at all .
though the game could sure use some optimisation on the loading/unloading of stuff : i'm still early game and i had a lot of gameplay interrupted by a loading time that will then launch a video cutscene, then once video cutscene is done another loading time to get back to gameplay, a bit annoying (especially when you get killed and the save is before a cutscene)
The targetting "lock" system is a bit janky though, but i really like how that character, currently a young man, you're controlling is not some sword master terminator once you learn how to play and you really want to avoid to fight actually trained enemies (trying to play the hero during the early game *spoiler* event will get you killed ... as expected)
But once you start to get a bit of training, it was such a good satisfying time to slay those bandits that were stealing on the many corpses around when you travel back to your village for *spoiler* ... so you can steal in their place

oh and that damned Zbyshek little shit , i hope i'll find him later , there's hell to pay .
heavily recommended if you like medieval historical settings.
