Quick Reference
« on: February 19, 2011, 08:12:06 pm »

I got tired of constantly flipping between these wiki pages.  So I consolidated the information I refer to often into this 2 page printable PDF.

This is for fortress mode.

This is awesome! At first I thought, "two pages? That can't be enough!". I'm saving this just in case my internet goes down.

He who plays with dwarves must take care that he does not become a dwarf.  And when you stare into DwarfFort, Dwarffort stares back into you.

Industrial chart would be more helpful, I think. As in, "how to make clear glass" or what ores can be smelted in what alloys.
Only thing I could find useful on this one is skill level list.

After playing df so much, I can say with pride that everything on that list comes autonomicly, if you need that to play ur doing it wrong.

I like the World Map Legend and Item Quality parts, but the rest can just be viewed with {v} and {k}.

You people seem to forget how hard this game is to learn.  This is an aid for those starting out.

This. And another page could be made for the different types of creatures. You know, E for elephants and elves, U for humans etc.

2nd page has alloy ingredients.
Glass and soap aren't alloys.

You should see if you can't fit in the tables from the Strange Mood page. I don't know about anyone else, but that's the only stuff I check with any frequency - making sure I have the right workshop for a dwarf, and that what he's asking for is what I think it is.

It looks like you can tighten up basically all the tables on the second page.

Hey, the map legend is wrong. Yellow is not "dry", it's "untamed wilds", and "gray" means "calm". The exported map differentiates from the surroundings/climates map.

So on behalf of every lurker who hasn't made an account on the forums and is just getting into DF, thank you, and may your beard forever catch the crumbs that fall from your mouth so you may enjoy there crunchy godness at a later date.

Can you fix the wiki as you see fit?

Dwarven blood types are not A, B, AB, O but Ale, Wine, Beer, Rum, Whisky and so forth.
It's not an embark so much as seven dwarves having a simultaneous strange mood and going off to build an artifact fortress that menaces with spikes of awesome and hanging rings of death.
