I don't really like bumping (first time, actually), cuz it makes me look impatient, but it's been 76 views and an hour and no one has anything to say about this? I mean, I know tons of you guys have faced the clowns, so I don't suppose anyone could help me out a little bit with my planning on defeating the clowns and colonising the circus mildly annoying the clowns before they rip everyone to ribbons?

I am pretty sure they will treat a raised bridge like any other creature does, that is, ignore it completely and treat it as if it was a wall.

Well, I believe they'll destroy it, bridge is a building even when risen. However I'm not sure and you could have already try that and savescum. I believe that will take about ten minutes.

They can not destroy raised bridges.

Dwarven bridges are basically just walls that rise or fall. One raised, they merge seamlessly into the surroundings.

If I could, I would. But I have no fort. I have not downloaded DF, and I am staying up late working, occasionally having a 5 min break to peek over the forum.  :(

Anyway, thanks guys. That raises a question, one I've been curious about: Why are people trying to wall up the HFS, instead of a simple, 2 tile drawbridge? I mean, when you discover cotton candy, simply build a drawbridge at the tunnel, and if the clowns break through, just Pull the Lever, and you'll all be fine. I mean, OK, there are some FPS issues, but there should not be any fortresses destroyed. Just build a drawbridge behind the spike traps, cave in traps, siege equipment, military that I've heard people use against the clowns.

Just curious.

I thought bridges were indestructable from one side only. Don't remember which side though.  :P
Otherwise, HFS behaves like FBs, so lowering bridges onto them will break bridges, and you can't activate bridges when an & is on them.
