My first car was 1000 upfront, 1990 Escort.  I got it in the spring and it didn't survive the winter.

Motorcycles are either awesome or terrible investment, depending on your local climate. I'd never buy myself one because I could only ride it for 6 months a year.
im in that situation (colorado), but i can handle the snow and the fricking cold, its when its ice that hell breaks loose.

6 to 9 months out of a $1000 car isn't terrible, about what car payments would have been over the same period.

Did you sell it for scrap? Might have recouped 100$ or so...

Also, OP saved like we said and has made a 55$ profit already!

Our lawnmower broke down around the same time and we didn't have the parts to repair it.  We gave the car to my grandpa who fixed the lawnmower in return.  So yeah, probably 100 dollars or so worth.

A good bike could make you happy. Sport-gear is expensive and useful in general.
Fable is a great serie, if you really want Xbox games.
Getting courses in your planned studies could be a good idea if you're aiming at a scientific career.

Garg fable, the way they constantly dumbed down the series from the first to the third game really pissed me off (first game tons of spells, you could cast them in any order, switch between them. Third game, like 10 spells, you could only have 1/2 eqiped at a time, and it took quite a while to switch them, and they weren't really that different even. First: tons of weapons, different types. Third: three types of weapons, with the main difference being damage. First: you can die if you are stupid Third: Nope, NO DYING).

That said, the way you buy property in fable 3 is pretty awesome.

For $305, get your head shaved and buy a Captain Picard outfit. Worth every cent!

Buy a pack of condoms. It won't remove all of it but it will put a dent in STDS, and, uhh, your money.

Huh. One, I have all the Fable games and I love them all. Two, I AM NOT GOING TO GET CONDOMS!!! If I was getting laid do you think I would have the kind of aggression that gets me into arguments on here?

Who buys condoms anyway?
I can get an unlimited amount for free at the local health clinic.

And for the record, not getting sexed up is not a viable excuse for aggression.

Health clinic once are most likely more reliable too. I don't trust vending machines in mens bathrooms, and super market ones are over prices (Especially next to getting them free!)

However there is a line between buying a condom, and buying $305 worth of them. We call this line 'novelty', and things on the far side are strange and awesome.

Here's an Idea : look if your bank allow you to make an action account and invest them in financial product. A few year of experience in that field could come handy later, you could win money, it doesn't matter too much if you loose and it should be fun .
Make sure to learn a bit about it first.
