Ah yes, and I also turned gremlins into emotionless, ruthless, diligent creatures as a playable civilization that finds everything unthinkably appalling, while apparently simultaneously inclined to hypocrisy, which seems to cause them to start have a bunch of conflicts with everyone, and also causes every gremlin to have a kill list averaging about 60 kills long. I made gremlins scary.

*Tophat-wearing, laser-shooting civilized hostile crows
*Hippy (not treehugging), robe-wearing orcs that love animals. Includes also a troll caste(trolls make good poets)
*Tame, butcherable dwarves (Stray Peasant (Tame) has been slaughtered)

EDIT:Also made an "ultimate groundhog" megabeast. They were groundhogs with extreme speed, ludicrous attack velocity modifiers and legendary +5 combat skills; they were capable of killing an unarmed dwarf in a split second. They killed many hydras on 1v1 at the arena.

I tried to make all sentient races able to be eaten by turkeys, but it didn't work. However, when I tried to reverse my seemingly simple modding, I created a world that somehow got run entirely by sea serpents, mermaids, and hydras. And then I crashed DF for the first time. It was wonderful.

I made a tree animal loosely inspired by a spoonge, when butchered it dropped an extra wood.

The only way to kill it is to make it bleed to death. Unlike a sponge it had two arms with hands and a skeleton which was as hard as adamantine though. It seems it likes to strangle things.

I also begun making a flying carpet animal which had all its parts made out of wool, but then I lost interest when I realized that the riding flying AI is shit so there would never be an attacking goblin flying on a carpet.

It's a combat log!

Sounds like the raws got duped somehow.

I thought once about modding cats to replace dwarves, have dogs in the place of elves (they didn't like trees being cut down for obvious reasons and would love bone crafts, rats for kobolds, elves as pets (for testing volcanoes), and get sieged by dwarves.  I never had much time to sit down and do it though.

Wat.

Did you edit the wtf files?

What, you haven't seen the Dwarf Fortress Localization Patch? Fortbent, Nchardahrk and Masterwork all use it, off the top of my head.
