Actually what probably happened is someone else redeemed it, and then didn't say they had claimed it.

In the latest bundle I picked up:

- Europa Universalis III Complete Gone to Twinwolf
- Crusader Kings II + Old Gods Expansion Gone to choppy

I've already got CK2, and EUIV, so I'd like to give these away. PM me your steam usernames if you like either, first come first serve. (all gone)

So hey, cortex command looks to be free on steam for... I don't know how long. Currently is for X more minutes after this post, where X is however many minutes it remains free. Just a heads up.

men of war assault squad ii is -75% on steam and am enjoying the cooperative multiplayer very much. it's not a grand strategy game but enjoyable nonetheless. also has a ton of mods of varying quality so there's that, which is nice.

It appears to be the "free forever if you claim it before Monday" type of free.
Thanks for the heads up, Frumple!  I'd been interested in this game for a long time.

Nah, it appears to be a "claim it now, and its yours" kind of thing. PRE-EDIT: Ninja'd.

I already own the HumbleBundle version. That said, has there been any updates to CC in the last year or so since I played it?

Hmm... Weird. It didn't look like free to claim games normally do, and there was some text about a "free weekend", but installing it didn't act like a free weekend normally does either. I'm not sure what to think.

It behaved like a "claim now and it's yours" for me; I hit install and it said it was registered to my account with no timer or any such thing like a free weekend. Looks like it's free-for-now.

Also, the library news blurb page has "Free For A Limited Time" as its top Recent News, so...

Some free to claim games will not show up in your library if the free period is redacted by the publisher. They will still be downloadable for free if you go to the store page. I'd invoke the name Berek Smurt, but I don't want the crazy fucker claiming he is buying Bay12.

This month's Humble Bundle has Dark Souls 3 plus the first DLC, which is insane value at $12.

I think it's just F2P for 48 hours, not "you can own it forever for the next 48 hours." Hard to tell from the wording on Steam.

Or maybe I'm wrong. I've seen this go both ways before.

Yeah, probably wrong.

It was free ~twice before IIRC. At least once only a month or so ago (when I got it).

Honestly, it is worth getting free, but I wouldn't pay anything for it.

Heh, i have to wonder about our (collective) idea about things worth spending time on, but not worth shelling out $1 to get. Are we valuing our time so much less than the money?
