Staxel is a very "safe" building game. It's less creative than creative mode in a lot of these sorts of games and more collectathon.

Tricky Towers for a buck is pretty cool.

GOG has a sale on the Shadowrun PC games, the Divinity series, and the Witcher.

Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 were both pretty fun games, but combat takes ages and the story...exists. I think we were accomplishing 1-2 fights in an evening when I was playing co-op, and we called the twist in the first story as soon as we knew what the story was (when you get to the pocket realm).

The Shadowrun games were good stories with interesting characters, and combat was pretty decent. Some of the NPCs have whatever role you would do covered already, so you'll probably not use that NPC for that playthrough, but that's not a big deal.

I played the Witcher about halfway through the combat tutorial before uninstalling it to play something else.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall is one of my favorite games. It had a good story and fun combat/customization, while allowing meaningful story choices. The only real criticism I have is that you basically need to talk to everyone all the time to get the best endings, but I was already doing that anyway. Also it was a cool intro to the world of Shadowrun, and wasn't afraid to go into some of the weirder aspects.

I'm hoping the devs can capture some of that again whenever Battletech 2 happens.

Hm should I play/stream the SNES Shadowrun? I've meaning to but it's an intimidating game and I'd hate to not finish it.

Ps: I'm looking for something slow and deep since the last 6 games I beat were all ego shooters.

I've beaten it. It's not a bad game, just somewhat inconsistent. I think they tried to do too many different things. The Sega game is mostly better, but the end boss is a bit weak.
