Wasn't the whole point of the DnD Tarrasque to kill epic level characters that were getting bored with smacking around gods?

Pretty much.

You could perfectly simulate the Terrasque by making it only "killable" with Adamantium weapons (that's basically a +5 magic weapon, right?), and yet making it get up after a few days, unharmed, if you didn't burn the corpse with MAGMA.

Because isn't Magma really every Dwarf's "Wish" spell?

I'm wondering what the 'pit of doom trap' would possibly do to it.  We now have 100+ z-levels to work with, after all.  (pit of doom = deeeeeep pit, and bridge... flip!)  I have yet to see a creature not immediately fall to pieces (and the pieces fly at great speed to smack against the walls) after a good long rest in the air...

That picture looks like a deathclaw with a mutated head :P.

showing my nerd here, but...the Fallout Deathclaw was designed after concept art for the Terrasque from an unreleased Black Isle D&D game, they thought it looked too awesome not to use for something.  They mentioned that in the Fallout Bible.

Oh yeah, I remember that now! And the inspiration for the Terrasque's look in DND was 1/2 Indonesian folk monster tales and 1/2 GODZILLA.  So what you're looking at there is partly Indonesian, partly Japanese, and partly American.

I think there was some filtration back from the Deathclaw into 4th edition too, since the new Terrasque looks even MORE like a damned Deathclaw.

Hmm...

I need to go dig up an old copy of Wasteland and put Deathclaws into my game now...

Actually, given its size, any drop would kill it.  I had size ~100,000 naga creatures die from a 1 level drop during a cave in.  Twice.  If you dropped this thing from any height it would shatter.

Zepplin Tarrasque is just bro tier.
Look at that smile.

Tarrasque mod 1.01 up. Should be final, unless there's a tag to restrict generating to 1 per world.

Edit: Found the natural skill tags. Now the beast just rips apart any small army.
Those work for you?

Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

There's a workaround using the night creature tags.  Spouse converters start 1 per world.  If the converted spouse caste is genderless, the creature won't convert spouses, so the population won't be able to grow.

Of course, night creatures don't come during fortress mode.

The tarrasque is supposed to be immune to fire and other heat, even magma! Why isn't this one so?
