I edited their tag to read just [PET] instead of [PET_EXOTIC] so I can tame them  but I cannot figure out how the hell to make them trainable I am trying to add [TRAINABLE] after [PET] and it isn't working.

Instead of:
[PET][TRAINABLE]

Try:
[PET]
[TRAINABLE]

Let's get the obvious stuff out of the way first.

Did you generate a new world after doing this?

Are you sure your tags are spelled correctly and you didn't accidentally type a { instead of a [ somewhere?

I don't think you need to regen a new world for this.
Aslo: you can add [TRAINABLE_WAR] if you don't want hunting badgers.

Technically no, but in that case, you'd have to edit the raws of your current world, instead of the generic raws.

I am editing the raws in the save which I was told are okay to edit without any regen.

Update: I didn't have my badgers close enough to my kennels, problem solved thanks guys.

Instead of:
[PET][TRAINABLE]

Try:
[PET]
[TRAINABLE]

It doesn't matter; You could type an entire creature without hitting enter at all.
