try scrolling until you have the scale you want? Or did you already do that?

Go into <DF directory>/data/init, and open up init.txt. Find the following line:

and change it to

There's a minimum amount of tiles by "X". You need to get a bigger monitor with better resolution, or stick to 16x16.

Go into <DF directory>/data/init, and open up init.txt. Find the following line:

[FULLFONT:curses_800x600.png]

and change it to

[FULLFONT:curses_square_16x16.png]
Huh? It's Ironhand, not curses, and it is 18x18, that's the problem. He needs a bigger resolution.

P.S. Hehe, I've just noticed the backround and icons with russian letters :P.

In the file labeled init.txt, replace find the lines reading;

[FULLSCREENX:___]
[FULLSCREENY:___]

And make sure they read

[FULLSCREENX:0]
[FULLSCREENY:0]

With it set to zero, when you go to fullscreen, it will not autodetect the proper scale, assuming you are playing the most recent version of the game with sdl rendering.

I've noticed that certain window sizes will shrink the tile size as if zoomed out. I don't know how to prevent this, but if you resize the window to something close to full-screen you should find a size where this doesn't happen.

Проблема наверное с 18*18 тайлсэтом. Попробуй тайлсэт с другим разрешением, или оригинал ASCII. Разрешение ASCII легко настроить.

Open the game in windows mode, and simply drag the window edges to make the window bigger, rather than use full screen mode.

I like your desktop backround. Where did you get it?

I don`t remember that.
Take it

От тайлсета не зависит, даже со стандартной графикой та же фигня - значки также растягиваются. Может надо менять монитор?

I tried all graphic tilesets and also non graphical mode but it doesn`t solve problem.

This is strange, but if i set up game window as 'resizeable' scale stands as fullscreen mode even in window mode. But one time there are bug with game and this was working. Scale was very nice and window was resizeable. ::) Maybe i click on something, or push the button, i don`t know. Just one time, and i don`t know how this happen and how this repeat.  :'(
So i set up non 'resizeable' mode because i can move window without change scale by click.

Maybe problem with my monitor (not widescreen) or with my WinXp Sp3? Or maybe because my vedeocard? (Nvidia GeForce7900GS)

Hmm... interesting...
I set up 'resizeable' mode and try your offers.
I push F11 when intro played and take this

Screen is resizeable as normal and image are nice scale. But this is not fullsize image and also blank places there.

And also screensize changeable by Y scale, not by X scale.

UPD: If I push F11 when intro played and resise window, and then push F11 again, i see not so bad image (1280x720)
