so i went into object testing...couldnt figure out how to give people actual armor, but 100 rabbits can slaughter quite a bit...gonna see if 50 rabbits could handle a group of 5 badger's...

yup, 50 rabbits, can take out 5 badger's, at a lost of about 30 rabbits...

Ok, how much does making a rabbit into a war rabbit raise its combat abilities?  Thats what I really want to know!

This much.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Okay maybe not but it'd be awesome.

Here's the movie:

Take out the grazer tag, remove breeding cap, add the tag that makes them trainable...

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the new lava.

In 40d you could make creatures explode on death by making their corpse a super hot rock that instantly vaporises into boiling vapours. Not sure if this is still possible, but it would be a great way to make wabbits more deadly. No matter how many regular wabbits you have they aren't going to get through even copper armour so I doubt they could be useful against goblins (kobolds on the other hand...).

They pushed the bloody goblin off into the river, they had a total of ten losses out of one hundred, I think I will try again though...

I'm telling ya. They may not be efficient... but what's more dwarf-like?

Efficiency, or humiliating your enemies by killing them with rabbits?

...

Actually... more dwarf-like would be magma soaked rabbit catapult.

What's better than rabbits ?

!!WAR RABBITS!!

In my arena thread, one of the winning teams was a group of 45 guinea pigs. There are so many targets, and so many attacks are needed, that the smaller number of creatures gets overexerted and falls unconscious. Then, they wake up only to succumb to the pain of yellow wounds on every body part. It will take forever for the rabbits to kill something, but have a pair of axelords on standby and you won't have problems with anything that gets tired.
I would suggest using a pit that invaders must cross, filled with your bunnies. Have a bridge going across a wide pit, 10x10 for one bridge or 20x20 for two. This pit should have one door blocking a narrow path out. Invaders come? Wait for them to cross the bridge, then drop them into your pit. Send in your axelords once the invaders are down and repeat.
For extra dwarfiness, have eternally burning coal roads randomly placed in your pit so that invaders have do deal with !!bunnies!! along with everything else.

I've just slogged through 4 pages of stories about blackops bunnies, exploding rabbits, Elmer fudd references and something about war chickens and ideas that I can't tell if they're out and out sociopathic or just ridiculous....

I love you guys.
