Er...Strange mood problem
« on: April 16, 2011, 01:47:46 pm »

I have my brewer who's highest skill is in dying and he wont take a workshop. I have a spare dyer's shop and craftsdwarf workshop open, but he won't take any of them. Any ideas? I use dwarf therapist and it says Strange Mood C...does that mean anything? Or is it referring to the fact that he's content. Anyway, any help is much appreciated!

Clothier's Shop? What's his highest Moodable skill?

Just build one of each workshop.

Dyeing, although if you don't get that workshop sorted he will get very good at dying. ;)

Do you have any burrows up, and are the workshops forbidden or otherwise inaccessible?

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Dyer is NOT a Moodable skill. Neither is Brewer. Check the list on this page:

Which of THESE skills is the highest?

Pretty sure Sutremaine was making a joke about mixing up dyeing (coloring an object) with dying (ceasing to be alive), not responding to your question. :)

Dying (ceasing to be alive) is also not a Moodable skill. Even totally unskilled Dwarves seem to do it correctly.
