Sorry for double-posting, but it turns out TSSB has a new album out.
Pretty amazing that this band is not only still going, they're still going strong. Lots of stuff I considered saying about this band and what it means to me, but I think I'll let this song do the talking. Probably as potent as any of their classic, especially sad tunes from back in the day.

I love the quasi-synesthesia of seeing a keyboard played with the notes visual indicators (I'd probably like the sheet music, but ye gods it's been a long time)
I'm something of a fan of rhythm games too, which probably helps~

I’ve been listening to the music of Cosmo Sheldrake recently. Very good stuff, it’s nice to find modern music that isn’t about love for once, and he has a really, really nice voice to listen to.

Fuck Google, recently they started running pop-ups here in Australia on youtube, gmail etc saying those services are "at risk" because they lost a case which says that they need to compensate local news outlets for stealing their content. I just got the first of those pop-ups on that song.

Youtube and Gmail are going to be taken away unless Google is allowed to freely ignore copyright restrictions? Please. It's offensive and a ridiculously hollow threat.

Honestly I would be kinda stoked if Youtube went away.
Obviously it would be hugely, massively inconvenient in the short term (and I dread to think how many internet artefacts like VHS player collection guy might be lost), but maybe a new, less-terrible video service would rise up in its place. I know there are alternatives, but they're all tiny compared to YT.

...Anyway, this is kinda off-topic. Let me find some nice music to share... aha! From the next tab over from this one, here's Swamp Dog Blues on an antique resonator guitar. I was on a real dobro/resonator kick the other day. Would love to learn to play such an instrument. This amazing little tune is a pretty good display of their versatility.

Swamp Dog Blues on an antique resonator guitar

No acoustic can match the sound of a resonator guitar. Thanks for sharing.
I took blues lessons from Shari Kane, who can really stomp it on hers.

She has some stuff on YT, but it doesn't do her justice... her peak was from the time before.

Oh, cool! I shall have to take a look at her stuff, but mostly it's just awesome that you were able to learn from a resonator guru. You know, as opposed to sitting in front of a computer before a sea of video tutorials, clutching your instrument in hand. Very nice.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll ever end up learning any wonderful instruments, but I just wanna share this song.
This band's pretty fantastic.

This is really nice by the way.  I recognized a couple seconds of it from some funny video, but now I've listened to the full thing a few times.  Very chill.
